The Cup of Staggering and Hope (Isaiah 51)

Isaiah 51 offers comfort to the remnant (those who have continued to seek God in the midst of difficulties). Although there will be difficulties along the way, Isaiah encourages the faithful that they are going to place of joy and gladness. This is made possible because Jesus took the cup of wrath was meant for God’s people.
